I am attempting to install Microsoft Sharepoint for development purposes on a Windows 7 machine. I have Visual Studio 2012 installed (maybe a trial version, I’m not sure yet), as well as Sharepoint Designer (a free download). I now also need to install Microsoft Sharepoint Foundation. I am currently attempting to install to my Windows 7 (64-bit) machine using these instructions: Setting Up SharePoint Foundation for Development Environment.

So far, the command line instruction is causing issues.  Looking elsewhere for other posts on the matter.

I did end up finding a decent post on wrox.com. I don’t think it has all the answers, but it does sound like I may need to do more investigation into setting up a Virtual Machine.
