As a part of my work at my new co-op term at BNOTIONS (which, by the way, is a very awesome and unique company to work for), I’ve started to learn and explore Facebook’s Graph API. Having seen Facebook grow as a popular social network, I was amazed at how much it has matured as a platform, and how powerful the Graph API has become. It is also really easy to develop for, and integrate Facebook into your applications, however, I’ve found that the documentation is not nearly as through, especially with particular topics, as I would like.

Here’s a quick walkthrough of a simple authentication (OAuth) implementation using python and the Requests library. I’m using Django in this example, simply because it lays everything out nicely, but also to demonstrate how easy it is to integrate Facebook into your current applications or build one from scratch.
