My name is Ben Wu and I work with the Marketing Services engineering team.
The Marketing Services team at Chegg is very innovative and creative in reaching out to our Students and engaging them with fun stuff. We have partnered a number of times with different brands to engage our student users in various fun contests. We discovered that the most effective way to handle these contests was by building microsites for hosting these various competitions. To name a few, we built a microsite to host a contest to promote Taylor Swift’s newest album “RED”, a contest for Sony Computer Entertainment’s latest ultrabook, and an essay competition to encourage entrepreneurship for the recently released Steve Jobs movie.
In this blog, I will deep dive into the architecture and implementation details for one of the microsites we built for the Taylor Swift contest.
