Nesting IF and AND Functions in Excel

Short clip showing how to use the nested IF and AND function in Excel 2007. This is an example of a simple formula where I wanted two different actions (Yes/No) and stimuli (Face/Control) to come out as numbers in four different columns; Accuracy Face, Accuracy Control. This makes it easier to work with the data statistically and to detect False Negatives and False Positives:

=IF(AND(B3=”F”;G3=”B”);1;0) (Face and Yes = 1, otherwise o)

=IF(AND(B3=”C”;G3=”N”);1;0) (Control and Yes = 1, otherwise o)
