Earlier this month, Salesforce.com chief executive (CEO) Marc Benioff said that Salesforce is readying an “Analytics Cloud” product line that will be launched during the Dreamforce conference next month in San Francisco. The question – is Salesfoce building a platform for others to build on, or are they building an analytics business which will compete with their ecosystem? Either way, it’s not enough.
